So I was going to do a little mini forecast of the upcoming trends which I have taken a liking to for SS14 but as I started composing my collage, I found that I was just subconsciously gravitating to everything which was of a monochrome colour palette. Typical! So instead I thought I'd just put together a post of some of the monochrome pieces I have fallen for! I may continue to do this for different trends over the next few weeks if you guys like it!
I think that a couple of the items on my list (such as the Chunky boots and the A-line tartan skirt) are going to become blogger cult items and everyone is going to be blogging about them but nevertheless I still love them.
How gorgeous is the ASOS two piece?! I think its stunning and if I was going to LFW that's the type of outfit I would probably go for. I love how crisp and clean it looks! I would style it with some strappy heeled sandals and an oversize envelop clutch then wear a bright coloured nail varnish for a pop of colour.
I've recently started re-reading a book called 'THE VALUE OF NOTHING' by Raj Patel and I would definitely recommend. If you've read any of the 'freakonomics' books then I think you'll really enjoy it!
"Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing."
This is one of my favourite quotes by Oscar Wilde which the book refers to from The Picture of Dorian Grey; it pretty much sums up what the book is about.
I know it's a bit of a geeky read but I really enjoy it and if you like business or political literature then it would be a great book to delve into!
